Hello, I'm Brendan and I love video games. You probably couldn't guess that, right? I still remember the day I first played Super Mario Bros. 3 for the SNES. To put it short, it was one of the most magical experiences of my life. Shortly after that, my parents realized my love for video games and bought me my first gaming console - the N64. I couldn't get over how good 3D looked, and I played countless hours of Goldeneye, Ocarina of Time and Super Mario 64. Since then, I pursued anything and everything video game related. Learning about other games and developers, subscribing to GamePro Magazine (RIP) to read the latest news and reviews, playing competitively in the early days of MLG and Game Battles - I surrounded my self with gaming culture. When I got my first PC, I always had fun tinkering with game editors - creating custom maps for games such as Age of Mythology and Age of Empires. It wasn't until the Xbox 360/PS3 generation when I realized I wanted to pursue a career in game development. After playing amazing games such Deadspace, Kingdom Hearts and Bioshock, I was inspired to become a game developer.
I recently graduated from the University of Central Florida with a BA in game design. Over the course of this degree, I've collaborated within many teams to create games and have served as both an ambitious and diligent team member. I thoroughly enjoy creating spaces for the player to engage with game-play and experience a narrative in. At heart I'm a storyteller I feel level design allows me to input that passion within game development. Currently I participate in the Doom and Age of Mythology modding communities creating maps and still work with Dysanian Dawn Studios to create multiplayer features for Pastry Panzer Panic which will soon be published through Steam Greenlight. |
